The seven visualizations are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Issues with SNR<\/li>\n<li>Low signal level<\/li>\n<li>High level of noise<\/li>\n<li>Overlapping channels (SIR)<\/li>\n<li>Low secondary signal level<\/li>\n<li>Low download rate<\/li>\n<li>Low upload rate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><div class=\"media post-download\">\r\n<div class=\"media-left media-middle\"><i class=\"box-40x40 icons icon-mac-xs  \"><\/i><\/div> <div class=\"media-body media-middle\">Get started with NetSpot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netspotapp.com\/netspotpro.html\">WiFi tool for macOS<\/a><\/div>\r\n<\/div><br \/>\nNote that <strong>the color interpretations in the troubleshooting heatmaps differ from those in the other NetSpot heatmaps<\/strong>. If you are reviewing a troubleshooting report, red signifies that this area has a high probability for a problem to occur. Yellow means there is cause for concern. Green means everything is fine.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, no software will ever be the equal of an experienced network specialist. But these tools should at least get you headed in the right direction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to use the troubleshooting heatmaps<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Perform a <a href=\"\/help\/how-do-i-start-my-survey\/\">survey of your zone<\/a> as usual.<img class=\"size-full wp-image-553 aligncenter img-responsive\" style=\"line-height: 24px;\" title=\"Perform a survey of your zone \" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Perform_a_survey_of_your_zone@2x.png\" alt=\"Perform a survey of your zone \" width=\"620\" height=\"400\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Click on the <strong>Heatmap<\/strong> drop-down menu above your canvas area, and select the <strong>Troubleshooting<\/strong> heatmap you wish to view.<img class=\"size-full wp-image-553 aligncenter img-responsive\" style=\"line-height: 24px;\" title=\"Issues with SNR\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Issues_with_SNR@2x.png\" alt=\"Issues with SNR\" width=\"620\" height=\"400\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>If you see areas of red or yellow, try clicking on that area of the heatmap to see the values specifically for each network covering it. Alternatively you can select each network on the left-hand side one at a time, to try and narrow down where the problem is occurring.<img class=\"size-full wp-image-553 aligncenter img-responsive\" style=\"line-height: 24px;\" title=\"Select each network on the left-hand side\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Select_each_network_on_the_left_hand_side@2x.png\" alt=\"Select each network on the left-hand side\" width=\"620\" height=\"400\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>You can modify the heatmap color scheme and some other parameters by clicking the <strong>Heatmap Settings<\/strong> icon, on the upper right of the heatmap itself or the gradient at the bottom right. <img class=\"size-full wp-image-553 aligncenter img-responsive\" style=\"line-height: 24px;\" title=\"Modify the heatmap color scheme\" src=\"\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Modify_the_heatmap_color_scheme@2x.png\" alt=\"Modify the heatmap color schemes\" width=\"620\" height=\"400\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<li>You can also adjust all Troubleshooting preferences in one spot by going to <strong>NetSpot > <a href=\"\/help\/what-settings-can-i-adjust-in-preferences\/\">Settings<\/a><\/strong> and then selecting the <strong>Heatmap<\/strong> tab.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>In the <strong><a href=\"\/help\/what-settings-can-i-adjust-in-preferences\/\">Settings<\/a> > Heatmap<\/strong> tab, you can also click the button to \u201c<strong>Reset all heatmap settings to default<\/strong>\u201d.
